Job summary

Blue Cross & Blues Shield of Mississippi seeks a Network Reimbursement Analyst in Flowood, MS. You will create claims and reimbursement analytics for fee-for-service and value-based contracting and take ownership of at least one reimbursement program, including inpatient, outpatient or professional services.

You will deliver reporting and dashboards for internal teams and providers, perform shared savings and bundled payment analyses, and contribute to research, analysis and testing efforts

Qualifications

• A degree in an analytic discipline with strong data analysis emphasis.
• Experience in data collection, interruption and analysis; empirical research; statistical analysis; or healthcare informatics.
• Experience with statistical software for analyzing large relational datasets (SAS, SPSS) preferred but not required.
• Clinical and/or industry knowledge preferred but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Creates claims and reimbursement related analytics for fee-for-service and value-based contracting.
• Takes ownership over at least one setting’s reimbursement program (inpatient, outpatient, surgery center or professional changes annually).
• Provides shared savings and bundled payment analyses on total cost of care trends.
• Prepares reporting and dashboards for internal teams and Network Providers.
• Contributes to team research, analysis and testing efforts.
