Job summary

Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi in Mississippi is seeking a Claims & Adjustment Specialist to join our team and support the accurate processing of medical claims. You will review and process claims, coordinate benefits, and help ensure timely payments while upholding policy guidelines and the highest level of customer service.

You will work in a dynamic environment, gain exposure to multiple business areas, and contribute to superior health outcomes for Mississippians every day.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least a 3.0 GPA.
• Proficiency moving between multiple screens/applications while staying focused.
• Clear written communication tailored to different audiences.
• High accuracy and attention to detail in work produced.
• Customer-focused and service oriented to ensure timely performance benchmarks.

Responsibilities

• Review and process medical claims with accuracy and efficiency by applying policy guidelines, scheduling and managing additional claims review and coordinating benefits while prioritizing the timeliness of the claims.
• Review correspondence, conduct research and communicate appropriately to expedite claim issue resolution and/or payment.
• Ensure performance levels meet or exceed established timelines and accuracy benchmarks while completing day-to-day activities.
