Job summary

The University of Mississippi Medical Center seeks a Reimbursement Analyst on its Main Campus Jackson team. The role collects, analyzes, and develops reimbursement reports, monitors monthly charges and RVUs, and supports senior leadership with data-driven presentations and benchmark data for reimbursement.

Required: a degree (Associate's or Bachelor's) and at least one year in reimbursement, financial analysis, or revenue cycle management.

Responsibilities

• Prepares monthly, annual, and ad hoc financial reports and analyses, develops presentations, and recommends course of action to senior management.
• Works with appropriate personnel to analyze and formulate monthly and yearly collection goals.
• Coordinates distribution of plans and reports.
• Assists the physician revenue cycle director with monitoring of monthly charges, collections, and RVU's by clinical department and by payor by clinical department and by payor.
• Summarizes findings in monthly reports and distributes to staff and senior management.
• Conducts analysis of special projects as assigned.
• Coordinates with staff to develop performance data reports to support collection activities.
• Develops special ad hoc reports from various systems and develops performance data reports to support the clinical departments with improving charge entry and collection performance.
• Maintain liaison with staff and management in the preparation of financial reports.
