Job summary

CSL Behring is seeking a reimbursement professional to secure adequate coverage for CSL therapies. You will work with payers, physicians, and hospitals, guiding reimbursement strategies and coding for new products.

The role includes training field staff on healthcare economics, coordinating with Medicare and private payers, and delivering monthly progress reports. 50–60% travel is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 5–8 years’ experience in a field reimbursement capacity.
• Excellent understanding of private and public insurance policies. Prior reimbursement and/or case management experience required.
• Strong understanding of Medicare policies. Experience with patient advocacy groups regarding coverage policies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with payers, specialty pharmacies, physician champions, and professional societies to secure adequate reimbursement of CSL Behring Therapies.
• Aid physicians, sites of service and their support staff in the reimbursement process.
• Provide in-service training to sales and marketing on healthcare economics fundamentals.
• Execute reimbursement strategies that align with marketing and sales strategies.
• Engage with third party payers to ensure adequate reimbursement (hospitals, home health providers, ambulatory care centers, physicians).
• Collaborate with third party payers and Medicare offices to insure appropriate reimbursement for CSL products.
• Provide monthly reports recounting significant activities and follow-up needed.
• Assess reimbursement environment (coverage, coding, payment) for new products and procedures.
• Assist director with federal/state payer program applications including Medicare/Medicaid for new products.
