Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Rehabilitation Therapy Technician I in Yuma, AZ to assist rehabilitation therapists with treatment and patient care under supervision.

You will set up equipment, maintain a safe working environment, and collaborate with therapists and nurses to deliver compassionate care that improves patient outcomes. This role provides growth opportunities within a national inpatient rehabilitation leader and emphasizes patient safety.

Qualifications

• BLS CPR is required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in a hospital environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports daily therapy department processes and operations.
• Assists patients with daily personal activities.
• Prepares and transports patients according to the patient schedule.
• Assists therapists with daily care and patient therapy as delegated.
• Communicates to rehab therapists on outcomes/observations of patient care activities.
• Reports patient performance, condition, and participation during care activities.
• Enhances patient safety through responsiveness to patients and caregivers.
• Provides assistance, care, and comfort under supervision of rehabilitation therapists.
• Performs additional duties as delegated to meet department needs.
