Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Rehabilitation Therapy Technician I to assist rehabilitation therapists in providing patient care in a hospital setting. The role includes setting up equipment, maintaining a safe environment, and collaborating with therapists and nurses to support patient rehabilitation.

The team focuses on compassionate care, patient safety, and adherence to hospital policies while contributing to a larger national inpatient rehabilitation leader with strong employee growth

Qualifications

• BLS (CPR) within 30 days of hire
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience in hospital environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Supports daily therapy department processes and operations.
• Assists patients with daily activities such as dressing, grooming, bathing, eating, toileting, and mobility as delegated by rehabilitation therapists.
• Prepares and transports patients according to the patient schedule.
• Assists therapists with daily care and patient therapy as delegated.
• Communicates to rehab therapists on outcomes/observations of patient care activities.
