Job summary

Novato Healthcare Center is seeking a Rehab Aide to support the therapy team in providing patient care and departmental operations. The role involves assisting with treatment plans, transporting patients, and helping prepare for sessions under supervision of therapists or the Director of Rehab.

Additional duties include housekeeping in the therapy area, basic clerical tasks, and obtaining equipment for patient use.

Qualifications

Must read written directions and comprehend verbal instructions.
High school education or comparable credentials.
Experience in the health care field is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform treatment directed by the supervising therapist or DOR.
Transport patients to and from the therapy department.
Assist patients in preparation for treatment, dressing and undressing, and applying appliances.
Carry out predetermined treatment programs under supervision.
Assist patients in ambulating with devices and in activities of daily living.
Housekeeping and cleaning of the therapy area and equipment.
Perform clerical duties as assigned by therapists or DOR.
Assist therapists in obtaining equipment for patient use.
Prepare the work and treatment area and equipment.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Uphold professional conduct, dress code, and positive communication with staff, residents, and families.
Follow safety practices, infection control, and universal precautions.
