Job Summary:

The Rehab Tech is responsible for office duties and cleaning tasks to maintain an orderly environment in the Rehabilitation Services Dept. Must demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care, identifying patient needs based on age, and following policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Wyoming CNA licensure preferred

Experience:

• Clerical experience preferred but not required

Skills:

• Direct patient experience preferred
• Proficient in typing, shorthand, computer skills, medical terminology, and business correspondence
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Motor coordination and dexterity for patient treatments and equipment handling

Essential Functions:

• Follow policies, maintain confidentiality, attend meetings, and adhere to infection control procedures.
• Handle daily communications, including answering calls, mailing, and greeting visitors.
• Schedule patients for inpatient, outpatient, and other services.
• Maintain patient charts, assist with registration, and handle billing.
• Assist therapists with routine documentation and patient care activities, including exercises, modalities, and equipment setup.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment, including equipment and supply management.

Secondary Functions:

• Maintain office machines, perform photocopying, and assist with information system updates.
• Perform other qualified duties as assigned.
