Job summary

Rehabilitation Hospital seeks a Rehabilitation Technician to support the Therapy Department and other areas. You will help with vital signs, mobility, scheduling, and equipment preparation for inpatient and outpatient therapy, under Therapy Leadership guidance.

The role emphasizes patient safety and compassionate, high-quality care. Requirements include a high school diploma, BLS certification, and at least one year of related health care experience or clinical rotations.

Qualifications

• One year of applicable work experience in nursing or allied health or related field.
• Completion of REHAB competencies and required on-the-job training.
• Ability to safely and effectively manage patient mobility.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients for mobility, ADL and speech therapy on admission.
• Obtain vital signs and weights during the admission process.
• Assist with gathering and transporting patients and equipment to therapy.
• Supervise patients for meals as needed.
• Assist therapists with group therapy and patient transport as needed.
• Assemble/disassemble equipment and prepare treatment areas per therapy staff.
• Distribute, clean and maintain therapy equipment.
• Assist with scheduling of patients and basic office procedures.
• Follow policies and ensure patient safety at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
