Job summary

Independence Health System is seeking a Rehab Technician to assist PT, OT, SLP, PTA and COTA in daily patient care under supervision. You will help in both clinical and clerical tasks, including scheduling, insurance information, and processing with EMR and Billing software.

The role requires strong customer service, computer skills, and the ability to multitask across patient care and administrative duties in a busy outpatient rehab department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or higher level of education.
• Strong leadership ability, good organizational skills, independent and critical thinking and sound judgment.
• Strong ability to communicate complex topics to a wide and diverse audience.
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities while using computer skills.
• One year computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment areas and assist rehab staff in efficient patient care.
• Monitor safety of patients and self during treatment.
• Communicate effectively with therapists about patient treatments.
• Use courteous communication for all calls and in-person contacts.
• Demonstrate competency in equipment setup and basic therapeutic exercises.
• Coordinate scheduling of patients within the scheduling system.
