Job summary

Memorial Home Services is seeking compassionate healthcare support staff to assist in rehabilitation services. You will work with patients and a care team to prepare treatment areas, transport patients, and maintain equipment and supplies.

The role requires strong organizational and verbal communication skills, ability to multi-task, and adherence to infection control protocols. Early certification and patient-centered care across age groups are essential.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required or must complete within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to work professionally in a team with customers, management, co-workers and physicians.
• Strong organizational and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to multi-task effectively in a health care setting.
• Exposure to infection control practices in a health care environment.
• Must perform moderately heavy physical exertion including patient transfers.
• Frequent standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Occasional sitting and lifting/movement over 100 pounds.
• Vision abilities include close, peripheral, depth perception and focused adjustment.
• Adherence to procedures for care of equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Follow established procedures for care of equipment and supplies.
• Prepare, maintain, and clean treatment areas.
• Transport patients to and from Rehabilitation Service areas.
• Transport records, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• Assist in maintaining department policies, safety, and infection control programs.
• Assist in care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
• Attend and participate in required meetings.
• Assist patients before and after treatments.
• Respond to patient needs and provide respectful, dignified care.
• Demonstrate age-appropriate care for all patient populations (infants to older adults).
• Perform related work as required or requested.
