Job summary

UAB Medicine’s Spinal Cord Injury Program at the Rehabilitation Center seeks an LPN to deliver compassionate nursing care in a 26-bed acute unit. You’ll work with a multidisciplinary team to restore independence and improve outcomes, guided by nursing standards and CMS‑recognized excellence.

The role requires an accredited Practical Nursing Program graduate with an Alabama license and BLS, with ACLS/PALS as applicable. A supportive career ladder and education benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Practical Nursing Program or equivalent.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required in Alabama.
• BLS certification required or to be obtained within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care based on the nursing process and hospital standards.
• Orient patients and families to the surrounding environment; act as patient advocate.
• Collect patient assessment data and notify RN of potential problems.
