Job summary

North Carolina Department of Public Safety’s Division of Institutions seeks a Correctional Case Manager to support rehabilitation programs at Dan River Prison Work Farm in Caswell, NC. The role focuses on domestic violence program delivery, offender assessment, and transition planning.

Strong case management and counseling skills are essential. Eligibility requires an associate degree or equivalent, and a background in criminal justice.

Qualifications

• Documented knowledge of case management practices or supportive counseling techniques and/or interviewing techniques for intake assessments.
• Education must be from an appropriately accredited institution; associate degree or equivalent required, GED with experience also acceptable.
• Possession of Criminal Justice Standards certification eligibility and ability to pass background checks are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with teaching 40 hours of Domestic Violence from approved curriculum.
• Screen and assign offenders from all minimum custody facilities across the state.
• Plan and facilitate graduation for offenders after course completion.
• Maintain case manager responsibilities and develop case plans.
