Job summary

NC Department of Adult Correction is seeking a Correctional Case Manager to oversee rehabilitation programs for male offenders at Dan River Prison Work Farm (Caswell, NC). Responsibilities include teaching Domestic Violence, screening offenders, and planning graduations while maintaining case plans and coordination with the classification committee.

Position requires knowledge of case management practices or counseling/interviewing for intake assessments; valid driver’s license and background

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Criminal Justice, Human Services, Recreation or related field.
• High school diploma or GED with two years of custody experience in NC DPS or equivalent.
• Must be eligible for certification by the NC Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.

Responsibilities

• Assist with teaching 40 hours of Domestic Violence from approved curriculum.
• Screen and assign offenders from all minimum custody facilities across the state.
• Plan and facilitate graduation for offenders after course completion.
• Maintain case manager responsibilities and develop case plans.
• Coordinate transition (re-entry) prior to parole or release into the community.
• Assist in coordinating major programs for rehabilitation of offenders.
