Job summary

State of North Carolina - Adult Correction seeks a Correctional Case Manager to oversee a caseload of male offenders, provide supportive counseling, conduct assessments, and develop individualized case plans under supervision.

The role involves coordinating major rehabilitation programs and planning re-entry prior to parole or release, contributing to offender education and community safety.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, Human Services, Recreation or a related field from an appropriately accredited institution.
• High school or GED diploma and two years of custody experience within the North Carolina Department of Public Safety.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in major dynamic programs or coordinating major or specialized programs for the rehabilitation of offenders, such as offender work assignments, education, and/or recreation.
• Planning and coordinating transition (re-entry) prior to parole or release into the community.
• Knowledge of supportive counseling techniques.
• Pass criminal background check, drug screen, and successfully complete medical and psychological evaluations.

Education

Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, Human Services, Recreation or a related field

High school diploma or GED with two years custody experience (NC DPS)
