Responsibilities

  • Maintain, with considerable independence, office processes in accordance with agency policies and provide customer service as needed.
  • Process authorizations, equipment requests, invoices, reports, receipts and billing statements; update fiscal documents and case records to ensure vendor payment.
  • Resolve billing problems to ensure accurate vendor payments.
  • Complete all required processing of invoices.
  • Provide information to referrals, applicants, clients, and the public regarding Rehabilitation Services for the Blind; maintain filing systems and prepare records for archiving.
  • Update vendor and service information in the client database and prep routine correspondence; type and proofread letters, dictation, and forms.
  • Open and maintain confidential client records; perform other related work as assigned.

Job description

The Family Support Division, Rehabilitation Services for the Blind (RSB), is seeking applications for a Rehabilitation Associate. This position is located at 3867 Magnolia Ave, St. Louis, MO.

  • Maintain, with considerable independence, office processes and activities in accordance with agency policies and rules as well as having to provide customer service as needed.
  • Processes authorizations, equipment requests, invoices, reports, receipts and billing statements; enters and updates fiscal documents and case records to insure payment to vendors.
  • Resolve any billing problems to insure accurate payment to vendors.
  • Complete all required processing of invoices.
  • Provides information to referrals, applicants, clients, and the general public regarding Rehabilitation Services for the Blind Maintain complex filing system and prepare records for archiving.
  • Provide assistance with updating vendor and service information in the client database.
  • Prepares routine correspondence; types and proofreads letters, dictation, and forms as required.
  • Open and maintain confidential client records.
  • Performs other related work as assigned.

Applicants must meet one of the following eligibility requirements: Three or more years of office experience, above the entry level, in office management practices and procedures including keyboarding, frequent public contacts, processing invoices, or rehabilitation services.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of the nature of developmental, emotional, and/or physical disabilities and the rehabilitation needs of those affected. Knowledge of the principles of job analysis and work simplification as applied to those with vocational rehabilitation needs. Knowledge of production work processes and equipment used in the fabrication, assembly, and/or packaging of small articles. Knowledge of standard and adaptive office equipment. Ability to gain the confidence and cooperation of clients. Ability to train and motivate clients, staff, and workers.

Individual(s) selected for this position may receive a higher rate based on a pay differential (e.g. shift, or time-of-service pay).
