Job summary

Copper Springs East, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking an Activity Therapist to join our care team in Gilbert, AZ. You will apply therapeutic activities and develop plans of care to support patients’ goals while collaborating with the treatment team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy (CTRS), MT-BC, Art Therapy (ATR, ATR-BC, ATR-P LPAT), or similar field required.

Responsibilities

• Applies appropriate theory and standards for therapeutic practices.
• Assesses patient needs utilizing cultural, religious, and physical disabilities considerations.
• Documents patient responses to interventions on progress notes.
• Completes all assessments within required timeframes and supports workload balance.
• Develops treatment plans with specific, measurable goals and interventions.
• Provides therapy per plan and communicates with patients to reach outcomes.
• Maintains communication with treatment team and physicians as needed.
• Contributes to patient programs and adapts plans with patient changes.

Education
