Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Rehabilitation Therapy Technician I to support therapists in delivering patient care and to assist with daily clinical tasks in a hospital setting. This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and compassionate care for patients undergoing rehabilitation.

The position requires qualification steps and a dedication to helping patients progress, with opportunities to grow within a national inpatient rehabilitation leader.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred (unless hospital policy requires otherwise).
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of elements required for clinicalladder RehabTech I or equivalent training in school or on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Support therapists' daily patient care and therapy activities.
• Facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain patient safety and deliver patient-centered treatment.
• Prepare and transport patients according to the patient schedule.
• Communicate to therapists on outcomes/observations of patient care activities.
