Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a Rehabilitation Therapy Technician I to support rehabilitation therapists and deliver patient-centered care at our inpatient facility. You will assist with setup, safety, and coordination of therapy sessions, helping patients progress on their rehabilitation goals.

The role emphasizes collaboration with nurses and therapists in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment at a leading inpatient rehabilitation provider.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred (unless hospital policy requires otherwise).
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Has completed elements required for clinical ladder Rehab Tech I or equivalent training in school or on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Support therapists' daily patient care and therapy activities.
• Facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain patient safety and deliver patient-centered treatment.
• Prepare and transport patients according to the patient schedule.
• Communicate to therapists on outcomes/observations of patient care activities.
