Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a Rehabilitation Therapy Technician I (PRN) to support therapists and deliver compassionate patient care in a fast-paced inpatient setting. You will help set up equipment, ensure safety, and coordinate care with nurses and therapists to keep schedules on track.

You’ll participate in daily treatment activities, document observations, and communicate outcomes to the care team while upholding the highest standards of safety and patient-centered service.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred (unless hospital policy requires otherwise).
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Has completed elements required for clinical ladder Rehab Tech I or equivalent training in school or on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Support therapists' daily patient care and therapy activities.
• Facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain patient safety and deliver patient-centered treatment.
• Prepare and transport patients according to the patient schedule.
• Communicate to therapists on outcomes/observations of patient care activities.
