Job summary

Salem Transitional Care is seeking a Rehab Technician to join our Therapy team. You will work closely with the Therapy Director and therapists, providing hands-on and administrative support to help keep the department organized, prepared, and running smoothly.

You’ll interact with residents throughout their rehabilitation journey, helping create a positive and supportive therapy experience while maintaining HIPAA compliance and resident dignity.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, patient, and comfortable working with older adults and individuals with disabilities.
• Friendly and able to communicate effectively with residents and families.
• Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable working with Therapy Director, therapists, nursing staff, and other departments.
• Able to communicate concerns or changes in a resident’s condition promptly.

Responsibilities

• Assist therapists with nonclinical tasks during treatment sessions, including resident setup and equipment preparation.
• Transport residents to and from therapy sessions safely and efficiently.
• Support restorative activities such as range of motion exercises and transfers.
• Maintain therapy spaces by cleaning equipment and organizing supplies.
• Schedule, file, and document administrative tasks for the Therapy department.
