Job summary

Preferred Therapy Solutions in Marlborough, MA is seeking a Full-time Rehab Tech to support rehabilitation staff with patient care and light administrative duties. The role involves assisting with treatment activities, transporting patients, preparing them for therapy, and helping adjust equipment while maintaining HIPAA standards.

You will also perform data entry, documentation, and general clerical tasks, contributing to a positive team environment and reliable patient service.

Qualifications

• Completion of Preferred Therapy Solutions Competency or currently enrolled in a therapy program (e.g. PTA school or COTA school).
• Hold a High school diploma or GED.
• Demonstrate concise oral and written communication skills with rehab. staff, facility staff, patients, and families.
• Demonstrate regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with specific treatment activities assigned by the treating therapist.
• Transport patients to and from rehabilitation dept. for scheduled treatment and assist with transfers.
• Prepare patient for therapy as directed by supervising therapist.
• Help modify patient equipment (wheelchairs, splints) as necessary.
• Report patient response to treatment and changes in medical status to supervising therapist immediately.
• Assist with computer data entry and generate reports as requested.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation of direct, indirect time, payroll, efficiency and clinical reporting.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and OSHA standards; assist with clerical duties as required.
