Job summary

Apex Rehabilitation & Healthcare in Huntington Station, NY seeks a Rehabilitation Tech to assist with daily operations in the facility and therapy department under the direct supervision of a therapist.

Responsibilities include clerical tasks, scheduling coordination, filing, regulatory compliance, and patient support, while promoting safety and teamwork within the rehabilitation department and with other staff.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• CNA certificate if required by state law.
• Previous experience in patient/resident care in a nursing center, hospital, or rehabilitation center preferred.
• Therapy students will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Complete clerical and patient, client, team member related duties.
• Participate in department meetings and in facility meetings as assigned.
• Perform clerical work as directed, including computerized activities.
• Consistently attends work and provides appropriate notice for scheduled vacations.
• Answer and direct phone calls.
• Develop and maintain a filing system.
• Coordinate therapy schedule with nursing if needed.
• Assist patients, clients, team members with issues or needs.
• Report any unusual incidents to Administrator.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the treatment areas and department.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

CNA certificate (if required by state law)
