Job summary

WellSpan Gettysburg Hospital seeks a Full-Time Rehab Therapy support aide to assist therapists in preparing patients for therapy, transporting patients, and maintaining treatment areas. The role includes helping with documentation, supplies, and front office coverage as needed.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, BLS upon hire, and less than 1 year of relevant experience. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to ensure patient safety and smooth department operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year of relevant experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire.
• Demonstrates good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists therapists and/or therapist assistants in preparing patients for therapy.
• Transports patients to and from the department.
• Prepares the treatment areas and equipment; maintains supplies and cleanliness.
• Assists with documentation materials and front office coverage as needed.
• Maintains medication in a secure area and monitors expiration dates.
