Job summary

UW Health in Madison, WI seeks a Rehab Therapy Assistant to support patient care 24 hours per week (60% FTE) with a day shift schedule, typically Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. Onsite at East Madison Hospital, you’ll prepare patients and areas, assist with therapeutic activities, and help with routine administrative tasks.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred) and BLS certification within 3 months.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients, treatment areas, and equipment.
  • Assist with patient therapeutic exercises, activities, and ambulation as directed by clinicians.
  • Complete administrative tasks as delegated by manager, supervisor, or clinician.
  • Establish appropriate interpersonal relationships and communications with patients, families, other team members, students and interns, and other healthcare professionals.

We are seeking a Rehab Therapy Assistant to:

  • Prepare patients, treatment areas, and equipment in a manner that assures the patient's dignity, personal care, and security.
  • Carry out patient related activities, as directed by the patient's , such as, assist with a patient's therapeutic exercises, therapeutic activities, and/or ambulation activities.
  • Complete administrative tasks as delegated by manager, supervisor, or clinician.
  • Establish appropriate interpersonal relationships and communications with patients, families, other team members, students and interns, and other health care professionals.

  • Prior healthcare experience Preferred

Licenses & Certifications
