Job summary

The University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority is seeking a Rehab Therapy Assistant to support patient care, prepare treatment areas and equipment, and assist with therapeutic activities under supervision at East Madison Hospital.

This 60% FTE, 24 hours weekly daytime position offers Monday through Friday shifts and flexibility based on department needs. No minimum education is required, a High School Diploma is preferred, and BLS certification is required within 3 months.

Qualifications

• Roles may include assisting with patient care and activities.
• Familiarity with basic clinical tasks is helpful.
• No formal degree required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients, treatment areas, and equipment to maintain dignity and safety.
• Assist with therapeutic exercises, activities, and ambulation as directed.
• Complete administrative tasks as delegated by manager or clinician.
• Communicate with patients, families, and team members to support care.
• Participate in education and growth of the team.

We are seeking a Rehab Therapy Assistant to:

• Prepare patients, treatment areas, and equipment in a manner that assures the patient's dignity, personal care, and security.
• Carry out patient related activities, as directed by the patient's , such as, assist with a patient's therapeutic exercises, therapeutic activities, and/or ambulation activities.
• Complete administrative tasks as delegated by manager, supervisor, or clinician.
• Establish appropriate interpersonal relationships and communications with patients, families, other team members, students and interns, and other health care professionals.
• Participate in the education and growth of the team.
