Job summary

UofL Health is seeking a Rehab Technician at University Hospital - UMC in Louisville, KY. This non-licensed caregiver works under Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy to aid patient care, including preparation and post-treatment tasks, while handling routine departmental duties.

Responsibilities include assisting with interventions, setting up equipment, transferring patients, taking vital signs, and supporting the therapy team while ensuring cleanliness and organization of care areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required by AHA.
• Previous clerical experience preferred.
• Experience as Physical Therapy Tech preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers components of interventions per supervising therapy provider.
• Performs setup for exercise, evaluation, or modality equipment.
• Assists in transfer and/or transport of patients as needed.
• Take vital signs, as needed.
• Assists therapist with initiation and monitoring of patients on therapy equipment.
• Maintains organization and cleanliness of patient care areas.
