Job summary

UofL Health’s University Hospital - UMC in Louisville is seeking a Rehab Technician to support Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapy teams. You will assist with patient preparation, interventions, and post-treatment tasks under licensed therapists.

The role emphasizes organization, clerical duties, and environment of care responsibilities to ensure smooth therapy sessions. The position requires a high school Diploma or GED, and a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Previous clerical experience is preferred.
• Experience as a Physical Therapy Technician is preferred.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Administers components of interventions under supervision (PT/OT/SLP).
• Performs setup for exercise, evaluation, or modality equipment.
• Assists in transfer and/or transport of patients as needed.
• Take vital signs, as needed.
• Assists therapists with initiation and monitoring of therapy sessions.
• Manages supplies and maintains cleanliness of equipment and treatment areas.
• Performs clerical duties (phones, scheduling, data entry, filing).
• Reports status changes to supervising therapist.
