Job summary

UofL Health University Hospital is seeking a Rehab Technician to assist Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Therapists in delivering patient care. The role involves patient preparation, setup for interventions, transfers, and routine clerical tasks to support the rehab department.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, monitoring patients on therapy equipment, maintaining supplies, and ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous clerical experience preferred.
• Experience as Physical Therapy Tech preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required by AHA.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing patients for therapy sessions and setting up equipment.
• Support therapists with patient transfer and transport as needed.
• Take vital signs and monitor patients during therapy.
• Perform clerical duties: phones, scheduling, data entry, filing.
• Ensure equipment and treatment areas are clean and organized.
