Job summary

Broad River Rehab is seeking a Part Time Rehab Technician / CNA to join our therapy team at the Assisted Living Facility in Kill Devil Hills, NC. The position is 3 days per week, totaling about 10-15 hours weekly, with responsibilities under licensed therapists.

You will transport patients, prepare treatment areas, assist with telehealth visits, and maintain HIPAA compliance while delivering compassionate care. We offer PTO and 401(k) benefits for part-time staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School education or equivalent.
• Minimum one-year healthcare experience.
• CNA Certification.

Rehab Technician / Certified Nursing Assistant

Rehab Technician / Rehab Tech - Part Time - 3 days per week; approximately 10-15 hours/week Assisted Living Facility in Kill Devil Hills, NC / North Carolina

BRR is looking for a Part Time Rehab Tech / CNA to work with our therapy team at our Assisted Living Facility in Kill Devil Hills, NC.

Broad River Rehab is a rapidly growing therapy company that partners with providers across all settings including assisted/ independent and skilled nursing facilities to provide premier physical, occupational and speech therapy services.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Under the direction of the licensed therapists, optimize abilities and skills of patients in facilities:
• Transport and move patients as directed.
• Prepare patients, equipment and supplies for treatments.
• Assist / facilitate telehealth visits.
• Assist licensed personnel in patient care.
• Maintain awareness of change in patient population, programs, and patient conditions and inform licensed personnel.

• Under the direction of the licensed therapists, build a strong rehabilitative care practice within each facility:
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with professional staff and good public relations with patients and families.
• Maintain confidentiality of company, patient and client information.
• Adhere to the appropriate dress code for assigned facility and work environment.
• Adhere to the requirements of the patient's Bill of Rights.
• Administrative Skills.
• Ensure that adequate office supplies and supplies for treatments are maintained.
• Complete appropriate forms and records, as directed, make copies, and obtain necessary signatures.
• Ensure that written and oral communications are directed to appropriate personnel.
• Follow established protected health information (HIPPA) policies to prevent privacy or security breaches. If breach identified, report to Broad River Rehab Management.

COMPETENCIES/REQUIREMENTS

• Strong communication, interpersonal ability. Ability to maximize contribution as a team.
• Bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, transferring, lifting 40 or more pounds, and assisting adults/children weighing 200 pounds or more with possible use of mechanical devices where applicable.
• Must be able to proficiently type a minimum of 40 words per minute.

CREDENTIALS

• Minimum High School education or equivalent.
• Minimum one-year healthcare experience.
