Job summary

Broad River Rehab in Bells, TN is seeking a full-time Rehab Tech to support our therapy team in a skilled nursing facility. This role provides hands-on assistance to therapists, helps prepare treatments, and supports patient care in a busy clinical setting.

Under supervision, the Rehab Tech will transport and position patients, prepare equipment, assist with treatments, and help maintain records and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School education or equivalent.
• Minimum one-year healthcare experience.
• Must be able to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of licensed therapists, optimize abilities and skills of patients in facilities.
• Transport and move patients as directed.
• Prepare patients, equipment and supplies for treatments; assist / facilitate telehealth visits.
• Assist licensed personnel in patient care.
• Maintain awareness of changes in patient populations and inform licensed personnel.
• Build a strong rehabilitative care practice within each facility and establish relationships with staff and families.

Broad River Rehab is Growing! Rehab Technician / Rehab Tech - Full Time Skilled Nursing Facility in BELLS, TN

BRR is looking for a Full Time Rehab Tech to work with our therapy team at our skilled nursing facility in Bells, TN.

Broad River Rehab is a rapidly growing therapy company that partners with providers across all settings including assisted/ independent and skilled nursing facilities to provide premier physical, occupational and speech therapy services.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Under the direction of the licensed therapists, optimize abilities and skills of patients in facilities
• Transport and move patients as directed.
• Prepare patients, equipment and supplies for treatments. Assist / facilitate telehealth visits.
• Assist licensed personnel in patient care.
• Maintain awareness of change in patient population, programs, and patient conditions and inform licensed personnel.
• Under the direction of the licensed therapists, build a strong rehabilitative care practice within each facility:
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with professional staff and good public relations with patients and families.
• Maintain confidentiality of company, patient and client information.
• Adhere to the appropriate dress code for assigned facility and work environment.
• Adhere to the requirements of the patient's Bill of Rights.
• Administrative Skills.
• Ensure that adequate office supplies and supplies for treatments are maintained.
• Complete appropriate forms and records, as directed, make copies, and obtain necessary signatures.
• Ensure that written and oral communications are directed to appropriate personnel.
• Follow established protected health information (HIPPA) policies to prevent privacy or security breaches. If breach identified, report to Broad River Rehab Management.

COMPETENCIES/REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong communication, interpersonal ability. Ability to maximize contribution as a team.
• Bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, transferring, lifting 40 or more pounds, and assisting adults/children weighing 200 pounds or more with possible use of mechanical devices where applicable.
• Must be able to proficiently type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
