Broad River Rehab – RNA / STNA Position (Therapy Department Only)
Part‑time, Monday‑Friday, day shift. No weekends or evenings. Location: Johnstown, OH.
A Restorative & Functional Maintenance Nursing Assistant provides each assigned resident with restorative nursing care and functional maintenance program services following the resident’s assessment and care plan. The role may also require acting in the capacity of a Rehab Tech to facilitate appropriate rehabilitative therapies.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Record restorative and/or functional maintenance program documentation entries on flow sheets, notes, charts, etc., in an informative and descriptive manner.
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly documentation in accordance with program guidelines under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor (Rehab Director / Facility Restorative Nurse).
- Work closely with therapists and the Facility Restorative Nurse to establish restorative nursing goals and interventions for each resident’s care plan.
- Follow established safety precautions in the performance of all duties.
- Under the direction of the Rehab Director / Facility Restorative Nurse, optimize the abilities and skills of patients:
- Transport and move patients as directed.
- Assist licensed personnel in patient care.
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness of therapy equipment and area.
- Maintain awareness of changes in patient population, programs, or conditions and inform licensed personnel.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with professional staff and foster good public relations with patients and families.
- Maintain confidentiality of company, patient, and client information.
- Adhere to appropriate dress code for the assigned facility and work environment.
- Adhere to the Patient Bill of Rights.
- Complete appropriate forms and records, including making copies and obtaining necessary signatures.
- Ensure written and oral communications are directed to appropriate personnel.
- Follow Protected Health Information (HIPAA) policies to prevent privacy or security breaches; report any breach to Broad River Rehab Management.

- Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that allow senses to function adequately for job requirements.
Credentials
- Current STNA certification in the State.
- Current physical exam and/or free from communicable disease as required by state law.
- Availability of an automobile during working hours with a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance (where appropriate).
