Job summary

Landmark Hospital of Joplin is seeking a Rehabilitation Technician to join our team on a full-time basis in Joplin, Missouri. The role involves transporting patients, assisting with exercises, and ensuring safety and cleanliness in treatment areas.

Preferred qualifications include CNA or Rehab Tech certification and current BLS; a hospital-level healthcare background is beneficial. We offer a collaborative clinical environment and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Active CNA or Rehab Tech certification (preferred).
• Current BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Transporting patients to and from treatment areas using wheelchairs or providing standing support.
• Secures and positions patients into or onto therapy equipment.
• Provides added safety during treatments with the patients and patient's equipment, e.g. IV poles, oxygen tanks, Foley bags, etc.
• Instructs, motivates, safeguards, and assists patients in practicing exercises and functional activities.
• Under the direction of therapy staff, measure vital signs to determine the effects of treatments or for patient evaluations.
• Keeps area, supplies, and equipment organized and disinfected between treatments.
• Participates in patient care tasks such as assisting with passing food trays, toilet hygiene, feeding patients, and transferring patients out of bed.
• May also perform other duties as assigned
