Job summary

Preferred Therapy Solutions in Rockland, ME is seeking a part-time Rehab Tech (24 hours) to assist the rehabilitation staff with patient-related activities in accordance with state licensure and Practice Acts.

A Rehab Tech provides technical and light administrative duties, including preparing patients for therapy, assisting with equipment, data entry, and documentation. Flexible schedules and competitive pay are offered along with part-time benefits and training.

Qualifications

• Completion of Preferred Therapy Solutions competency or currently enrolled in a therapy program (e.g. PTA/ COTA)
• High school diploma or GED required
• Strong verbal and written communication with rehab staff, facility staff, patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Assist with specific treatment activities assigned by the treating therapist.
• Transport patients to and from rehabilitation department for scheduled treatment and assist with transfers.
• Prepare patients for therapy as directed by supervising therapist.
• Assist with minor equipment modification (wheelchairs, splints) as needed.
• Record patient responses and report changes to supervising therapist.
• Assist with data entry and generate reports as requested.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation of time, payroll, efficiency and clinical reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and follow infection control and OSHA standards.
