Qualifications

• Requires completion of Preferred Therapy Solutions competency or current enrollment in a therapy program.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrate concise oral and written communication with rehab staff, facility staff, patients, and families.
• Must demonstrate regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Assist with treatment activities as directed by the treating therapist.
• Transport patients to and from rehabilitation for scheduled treatment and assist with transfers.
• Prepare patient for therapy as directed by supervising therapist.
• Assist with basic equipment adjustments (wheelchairs, splints) as necessary.
• Report patient responses to treatment and changes in status to supervising therapist immediately.
• Assist with computer data entry and report generation as requested.
• Complete timely documentation of direct/indirect time, payroll, efficiency and clinical reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and comply with infection control and OSHA standards.
• Perform clerical duties such as calls, photocopying, filing, faxing/scanning/uploading documents, supply orders.
• Keep rehab area and equipment neat, clean, and safe.

Overview

A Full-time (30 hours) Rehab Tech position in now available in our Lewiston, ME location. A Rehab Tech with Preferred Therapy Solutions will assist the Rehabilitation Staff with patient-related activities in accordance with state licensure and Practice Acts mandates. A Rehab Tech provides technical, and light administrative duties for the Rehabilitation Department. We offer competitive rates and great full- time benefits:

Specific Duties

• Assists with specific treatment activities assigned by the treating therapist.
• Transports patients to and from rehabilitation dept. for scheduledtreatment as requested and assist with transfers.
• Prepares patient for therapy as directed by supervising therapist.
• Helps in the modification of patient equipment (wheelchairs, splints) asnecessary.
• Reports patient response to treatment and changes in medical status to supervising therapist immediately.
• Assists with computer data entry and generates reports as requested.
• Completes timely and accurate documentation of direct, indirect time,payroll, efficiency and clinical reporting.
• Adheres to confidentiality standards of HIPAA and all Infection Control, Universal Precautions and OSHA standards for the healthcare professional.
• Uses a professional and clear style of verbal and written communication.
• Clerical duties such as answering calls, photocopy, file, fax/scan/upload documents, supply orders.
• Maintains rehabilitation area and equipment in a neat, clean and safe manner.
• Attends in-services and facility meetings as required.
• Work cooperatively in group situations and demonstrates flexibility, team building, and promotes a positive work environment.

• Reports to work on time and adheres to schedule
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Completion of Preferred Therapy Solutions Competency or currently enrolled in a therapy program (e.g. PTA school or COTA school.)
• Hold a High school diploma or Graduate Equivalency Degree.
• Demonstrate concise oral and written communication skills with rehab. staff, facility staff,patients, and families.
• Demonstrate regular attendance.
