Overview

As a Rehab Tech, you will assist licensed therapists in providing therapeutic care and support to patients undergoing rehabilitation. You will prepare treatment areas, help patients with exercises and mobility, manage equipment, and maintain a safe and organized clinical environment as delegated. To be successful, you will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to supporting patient progress and therapist needs within the rehabilitation setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living and assigned non-clinical duties as directed by the Nurse, Licensed Therapist, Supervisor or Program Coordinator.
• Collect laboratory specimens according to hospital protocol, maintaining a zero tolerance standard for mishandled specimens.
• Report observed or reported changes in the patient’s condition to the Licensed RN/Physician or Licensed Therapist.
• Prepare patients for transfer/transportation to other departments/areas.
• Perform safe and effective transfers with appropriate equipment.
• Assist patient to cart/bed or wheelchair.
