Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Rehabilitation Assistant to join the Rehabilitation Services Department. You will support therapists, help patients prepare for sessions, and ensure equipment and supplies are ready and organized.

The role emphasizes infection control, safety, and accurate record-keeping in a busy clinical environment. Responsibilities include assisting with therapy programs, greeting patients, managing receptionist tasks, and coordinating supplies.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: One year direct patient care experience preferred.
• Proficient in English, verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates and prepares for patient and therapist needs.
• Assists patients to prepare for and complete therapy sessions.
• Greet patients and handle receptionist duties (phone calls and mail).
• Orders and stocks linens and therapeutic supplies.
• Maintains logs for equipment cleaning and temperature checks.
