Job summary

Rockport Healthcare Services seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide direct patient care and support activities within a skilled nursing facility rehab environment in Visalia, CA. You will evaluate, treat, and document patient progress while collaborating with families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in SLP, California license or candidacy, and CCC-SLP with 2–3 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited SLP program.
California Speech-Language Pathology license or license candidate under state regulations.
2–3 years experience in a skilled nursing facility rehab environment or equivalent preferred.
ASHA CCC-SLP certification; CPR certification if required.
Ability to supervise and direct assistants and aides.

Responsibilities

Provide treatment programs to maximize speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities.
Perform accurate evaluations and develop effective plans of treatment; obtain physician approvals.
Document services accurately and in line with regulatory and billing requirements.
Communicate progress with families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
Collaborate with rehab team and contribute to professional development.
