Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Health Care Technician to support the Rehab unit under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will assist with personal care, prepare patients for therapy, and help maintain supplies and equipment across the unit.

This role requires a HS Diploma or GED, CNA certification, and BLS within 30 days. You will collect data, document accurately, assist with daily living activities, and mentor new HCT staff as needed.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred; nursing clinical experience recommended.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance of unit supplies and charts; stock nurse servers, clean instruments, order supplies.
• Collect data on assigned patients and document accurately in the chart.
• Demonstrate competency in skills: vital signs, glucose monitoring, intake/output.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and prepare for transportation or therapy sessions.
• Mentor new HCT staff and contribute to orientation and training on Rehab unit.
