Job summary

UCLA Health in Los Angeles is seeking a DME Navigator to guide patients requiring durable medical equipment, prosthetic and orthotic services, and lymphedema supplies through the care continuum. You will coordinate appointments, help with registrations, and secure necessary authorizations.

Working closely with patients, providers, therapists, and payors, you will verify benefits, explain coverage and estimated costs, and ensure timely access to prescribed equipment while delivering outstanding

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of EMR systems; Epic experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
• Knowledge of rehabilitation services terminology.
• Familiarity with insurance authorization processes and coding (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10).
• Ability to interpret medical documentation, patient intake forms, therapist instructions, and policies.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate appointments, registrations, scheduling, and equipment coordination.
• Obtain insurance authorizations and verify benefits.
