Job summary

Topaz Fiscal Services seeks a qualified Rehabilitation Department Assistant to support the Rehab Director in day-to-day operations. The role requires licensing in the state, credentialed therapy training, and at least two years of clinical experience.

You will help manage caseloads, participate in regular meetings, and assist in new employee orientation while maintaining productivity standards and quality of care within the facility.

Qualifications

• Credentialed graduate of an accredited physical, occupational or speech therapy program.
• Licensed in the practicing state.
• Minimum two years clinical experience as a practicing therapist.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, with frequent lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Effective communication with residents, families, PT, OT, ST, restorative staff, and facility staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day management of Therapy Department as designated by Rehab Director.
• Attend morning meetings, restorative meetings, and perform tasks as directed by Rehab Director.
• Assist in orientation of new employees and ensure policy adherence within the department.
• Maintain therapy caseload and productivity standards.
• Coordinate MDS rehab data and billing related tasks as needed in absence of Rehab Director.
• Lead weekly rehab meetings in absence of Rehab Director to review patients and discharges.
• Assist Lead Therapist with patient assignments and daily activity reports.
