Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma required to practice nursing.
• 3 years of RN experience in an acute care setting.
• 1 year in a specialty area.
• Knowledge of patient- and family-centered practice and ability to mentor staff.
• Cultural awareness and the ability to educate diverse patient populations.
• Effective communication concepts and practices for patient and family partnership.
• Education techniques for patients and designated care partners.
• Knowledge of medication administration and discharge planning.
• ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications required or preferred.
• RN licensure in PA or NJ as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients, families, and staff consistent with Jefferson values.
• Integrate evidence-based practice with patient preferences to deliver optimal care.
• Lead and coordinate nursing care with team members to meet patient needs.
