Job summary

University of Southern California seeks a Rehab Aide to assist therapists and support staff in delivering patient care across adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations. Responsibilities include scheduling, transcribing, distributing schedules to units, and aiding with setup and treatment.

The role requires High School diploma, strong customer service, and proficient computer skills. BLS/Fire Life Safety training is preferred; prior rehab exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to assist therapists in providing care appropriate to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
• Excellent customer service behavior.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word; able to use Internet and email.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assist therapists with scheduling patients and updating referrals.
• Transcribe schedules and distribute to nursing units; manage scheduling tags for new referrals.
• Set up, assist with patient treatment, and help with departmental and equipment cleaning and maintenance.
• Stock linen and supplies; perform clerical tasks and maintain effective communication/documentation.
