Job summary

The Rehab Aide position at USC Arcadia Hospital supports direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of therapists and department leadership. Responsibilities include assisting with scheduling, updating referrals, transcribing schedules, and ensuring proper setup and cleanup for patient treatments, as well as maintaining department cleanliness and supplies.

Minimum education is a high school diploma with BLS and LA City Fire Life Safety Training.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to assist therapists in providing care appropriate to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service behavior.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word as well as Internet access and utilization.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assist therapists with scheduling of patients and updating referrals.
• Transcribe and distribute schedules to nursing units; assist with patient treatment setup and cleanup.
• Stock linen and supplies; perform clerical functions and documentation.
• Maintain departmental and equipment cleaning and maintenance as directed.
