- GENERAL SUMMARY
- Under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist, Physical Therapist Assistant or Athletic Trainer, assists with specific treatment programs and performs non-clinical duties to maintain order and cleanliness of clinic and front office. Reports to department leadership.
- ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with specific clinical treatment/rehabilitation programs/modalities under the direct supervision and direction of a licensed health care provider.
- Performs and assists with clerical duties under the direction of the office coordinator.
- Maintains security and confidentiality of information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
- MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma.
- Interest in working as part of a team to assist with meeting the needs of children and adolescents with orthopedic and sports-related injuries.
- Requires ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with the treatment team and the patient.
- Knowledge of the principles, practices, standards and techniques for physical therapy modalities and equipment preferred.
- WORKING CONDITIONS
- Expected to work in a patient care environment with minimal exposure to environmental hazards such as, but not limited to, excessive noise, dust, or extremes in temperatures. Exposure to communicable diseases and moderately adverse working conditions due to the need to perform certain patient care activities can be expected.
