Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network is the premier rehabilitation provider in Connecticut. We provide rehabilitation services across the continuum - acute care hospitals, long term care facilities, sub-acute rehabilitation, homecare, outpatient centers, and in community settings such as senior centers, work sites, and schools and colleges. We offer over 30 outpatient locations with a variety of specialists, including oncology, women’s health, sports medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech language, known for our commitment to high-quality, customer-focused outcomes.
Position Description
The ideal candidate would be able to work weekends/holidays as well as support rehab department as needed.
The Rehabilitation/Mobility Aide provides safe and appropriate basic patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist. As a member of the rehabilitation team, the Rehab Aide supports a safe and positive patient experience by assisting in the delivery of care and performing delegated multi-skilled basic patient care services.
The Rehab Aide provides support and assistance to licensed Rehabilitation Therapists in areas such as mobility, ADLs (Activities of Daily Living), movement and ambulation, and positioning. Additionally, the Rehab Aide may support licensed Rehabilitation Therapists in therapeutic exercise programs, group exercise programs, mobility volunteer aide program, and swallowing studies.
· High School diploma or equivalent required.
· Patient care experience required; one or more years of hospital experience as a rehab aide preferred.
· Knowledge of medical terminology a plus
· Computer literacy
· CPR validation may be required within 3 months of hire depending upon work area-specific requirements
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills required
