Job summary

Job description

Want a full-time M-F position with great benefits? Looking for a rehab aide to be part of an in-house therapy team. Pay rate $14 up to $21.50 depending on certification and experience.

Must have a genuine interest in the rehabilitation and maintenance of geriatric residents. Main responsibilities include transportation of residents to/from therapy for treatment and assisting nursing staff. Also responsible for leading individual/group maintenance programs designed by therapists. If you are not a state-tested nurse aide, we can help you achieve those goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assist in the therapy department as a Rehabilitation Aide when required.
  2. Transport residents to/from therapy for treatment.
  3. Be trainable in basic therapy delivery areas.
  4. Assist in certain portions of therapy delivery as permitted by state and federal guidelines.
  5. Follow through with individual and/or group maintenance programs initiated by therapists and ordered by a physician.
  6. Maintain records of maintenance activities for each resident as required.
  7. Record resident daily activities and file appropriately.
  8. Serve as a resource for CNAs in maintenance program techniques.
  9. Assist and feed residents in the dining room with meals as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Certified Nursing Assistant or graduate of an accredited PT, OT, COTA, or PTA program awaiting licensure.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate in writing and record resident responses to treatment (preferred).
  • Proficiency in computer use.

Preferred Education: High School diploma.
