Job summary

Kootenai Health in Coeur d'Alene, ID, seeks a non-clinical support teammate under the direction of a registered PT or PT assistant. This role prepares treatment areas, assists patients for therapy, and helps with scheduling and documentation.

Ideal candidate has a high school diploma (CNA preferred), BLS, and at least 1 year related experience. You’ll lift up to 35 lbs, assist in patient transfers, and contribute to a patient-centered care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) strongly preferred.
• 1 year of related experience preferred.
• BLS required. Current certification within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment areas and equipment.
• Prepare patients for treatment.
• Monitor and maintain therapy supplies.
• Involved in scheduling and documentation.
• Take patient vital signs for therapy records.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job description

Performs various non-clinical support activities under the direction of a registered Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for preparing treatment areas and equipment
• Prepares patients for treatment
• Monitors and maintains therapy supplies
• Involved in scheduling and documentation
• Takes patient vital signs for therapy records
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
• Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) strongly preferred
• 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified preferred
• BLS Required. Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or KH BLS within 60 days of hire

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to lift and move up to 35lbs
• Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
• Typical equipment used in a clinical job
• Must be able to stoop, crouch, or bend
• Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment
• Must be able to assist in patient transfer
