Job summary

Marvin in Warroad, MN is seeking an experienced engineer to maintain and establish technical centers of excellence in regulatory disciplines such as glass development, structural analysis, installation, and packaging. You will influence product performance from design through installation and lifecycle, with relocation benefits and a broad rewards program.

The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering, 3+ years in engineering design or regulatory work, and familiarity with Inventor and FE

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; master’s degree or advanced degree is preferred.
• 3+ years Engineering design, product development and/or window and door regulatory experience.
• Understanding of regulatory standards for windows/doors market strongly preferred.
• PE certification preferred.
• Working knowledge of 2D and 3D Modeling software (Inventor preferred), Microsoft Office Suite.
• FEA/THERM software exposure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Glass design and analysis; including strength, altitude, frequency, sound transmission, thermal performance and specialty glass evaluation.
• Structural engineering in support of new product development and incoming commercial jobs with structural calculations.
• Installation design, engineering and validation; establish a center of excellence for product installation.
• Packaging design and analysis; support corporate packaging goals and sustainability initiatives.
• Demonstrate knowledge of product components and designs and how glass, installation, and packaging affect performance living through the product life cycle.
