Job summary

Nevada Gaming Control Board is seeking an Engineer for its Technology Division to evaluate, inspect, and ensure gaming devices, systems, and related technologies comply with applicable laws and regulations while safeguarding gaming integrity and fairness.

The role involves regulatory compliance assessment, forensic analysis of gaming technology, statistical analysis, and software development to support Nevada's gaming regulatory framework.

Qualifications

  • Minimum four years of related experience or education in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or closely related field, plus three years of professional experience.
  • Ability to develop software in one or more high-level programming language.
  • Knowledge of probability, statistics, software development, computer networking, and information security.
  • Knowledge of electronics and digital circuit design and ability to perform digital forensics.
  • Valid State of Nevada driver's license required.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, inspect, and ensure gaming devices, systems, and related technologies comply with laws and regulations while safeguarding gaming integrity and fairness.
  • Conduct regulatory compliance assessment and forensic analysis of gaming technology.
  • Perform statistical analyses to support regulatory decisions.
  • Develop software to support Nevada's gaming regulatory framework.
